"Embryo Larva Butterfly is a thought-provoking sci-fi drama exploring love, memory, and fate" - Screen Anarchy

Embryo Larva Butterfly is a thought-provoking and captivating sci-fi drama exploring love, memory, and fate. Set in a world where time is non-linear and the past, present, and future arbitrarily shift, a group of individuals must decipher the point in their life at which they've awoken each day, as they age back and forth.

This mysterious phenomenon is particularly challenging to a couple whose decision around a surrogate child is questioned by their future selves and finds them experiencing an appearance and disappearance of the child in their respective timelines.

Director Kyros Papavassiliou has crafted a thought-provoking puzzle that grapples with the nature of time and beautifully ruminates on our predetermined fates.
