“A paean to the intermittent bliss and comfort of romance, no matter how ephemeral, this Slovenian drama is a gentle wisp of a film, a surprisingly tender story about how we hold on to others even when we can’t hold on to our notion of ourselves.” - Variety
An old man sits alone on a bench beside a road blanketed in mist. Bruno wants to go home to feed his dog, but he is not quite sure where home is. He is lost in himself, and his memory and sense of reality are fractured.
Bruno lives at a home for the elderly, and is in love with a co-resident named Dusa. Their love story is fragmented, as they tend to constantly forget each other. They always meet for the first time.
Inspired by writer/director Miroslav Mandic’s own experiences, this unconventionally gentle and humane film offers a rare and moving examination of ageing.
