Through four key films from his artistic zenith, we explore the work of Italian master Michelangelo Antonioni, one of the most revered and influential directors of the 20th century.
Collaborating with Monica Vitti on four intense portraits of alienation, Antonioni shaped a century and invented a radically new film language, dissecting the tensions between people and their modern worlds with an elegant, eerie cool.
This retrospective is co-presented by the Instituto Italiano di Cultura di Sydney and the Instituto Italiano di Cultura di Melbourne.
